Longs Peak Ram Soccer is a coed City of Longmont Recreational Program and a spring and fall intramural school sport. The season begins with after-school practice in the first few weeks of the school year for the fall season and in March for the spring season. Games are usually one day a week with 3 days of practice. Regular season matches are played both at Longs Peak middle school and at other area middle schools to determine standings for playoffs. Playoff matches are held at Sandstone Ranch at the end of the season in a single elimination format.

The league is divided into 2 divisions, A & B.The A league is reserved for 8th grade players and younger players with more advanced skills. The B league is a more developmental league for 6th and 7th grade players.

Some of the core values of Ram Soccer are teamwork, sportsmanship, mutual respect, and equal opportunity. The coaching staff teaches responsibility, determination and self-discipline, as well as fitness, individual soccer skills, and attacking & defending team tactics on a daily basis.

Wrestling

There is one sport that rewards endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and above all, a drive to succeed. That sport is wrestling. Wrestlers at Longs Peak learn the fundamentals of takedowns, grappling, escaping, and pinning as they strengthen their mind and body in an encouraging atmosphere. We ask that our athletes work hard and bring a positive attitude to practices. All grade levels and genders may join wrestling. 6th graders get to travel to away meets and have their own district tournament separate from the 7th and 8th graders. Come join us!

Students get to try, practice and compete in running events, hurdles, relay races, long jump, triple jump, high jump, discus and shot put. One of the main goals of track is to help students with all skill levels and athletic abilities to grow as an athlete through hard work and perseverance.
